If you missed July’s weighings, check it out here.

Bob

In June Bob was 1905 grams! He didn’t do anything spectacular in July, so for August he came in at 1997 grams! A definite improvement. Hopefully he’ll gain just a tad more before breeding season!

Fatgirl, our Hypo Ball Python.

In July Fat Girl came in at 1413Grams! She shed once in the month. She ate good in July, and got her weight up to 1460 grams! She’s getting close to the 1500 gram mark!

Jane

Jane, a Hypo Boa

In July Jane was at 4965 grams! She’s our biggest snake thus far, and she’s getting ready to breed, so we were more than pleased when she came in at 5444 grams (about 12 LBS) for August. That’s even with a shed in between

Mary is on another poo strike, so her weight was no surprise to us. She weighed 1887 grams in July. Since all she did was pee in July, she shot up to 2256 grams! We wonder how much weight she’ll lose when she finally decides to take a poo?

Medusa

Medusa is trucking along to be as big a Jane one day! She’s our next biggest snake, but not the next oldest! She was 3047 grams in July. She shed once, and ate really well (as she always does), and came in at 3157 grams. Not a huge gain, but a definite step in the right direction!

Molly finally shed for us! It’s about time too! I guess since we moved her food size up, she finally got too big for her clothes! She weighed 104 grams in July! The small adult mice are agreeing with her, and she now weighs 132 grams! A nice gain for a snake her size!

Norma

Norma never disappoints! She’s moving right along in the weight race, and could probably stand to go up a food size herself, because she came in at 882 grams for July. For August she was 972 grams! Not a bad gain for a shed month!

Pablo

Pablo is easily our biggest male! He was 2534 grams for July. He shed for us, and ate well as always. This means he came in at 2614 grams! We wonder how heavy bodied he’ll get?

PeeWee went to the bathroom a lot in July! She shed at the beginning of the month as well. For July she was 2235 grams. She gained a little for August and came in 2511 grams. We wonder if she’ll ever get big, or she’s doomed to be a small boa?

Stretch

Stretch may not look like much in the girth department, but she makes up for it in length! She literally looks like a long slender rope! In July she was 650 grams, and shed once for us! She’s another that could probably use a meal size increase, but for now she’s still gaining some weight, so we’ll take it. For August she came in at 755 grams. Not long now before she breaks the 1,000 gram mark!

Little Man

A Hypo Pastel Ball.
Little man, our Ghost Pastel Ball Python.

Little Man was a bit of a head scratcher this month. For July, he weighed 1007 grams. He ate a couple of times, but refused just as many, and came in at 1066 grams. We aren’t complaining about the weight gain, but just wondering where it came from! 🙂

Measuring Little Man

We told you we brought measurements back, and we didn’t fail you this month! This month it was Little Man’s turn to get the string! When we measured him last year in July, he was only 40 inches. He’s a growing boy, and for August of 2017 he was right about 48 inches! Measuring a ball python is no easy feat since they are so head shy, so that’s why he’s approximately 48 inches, since it took a couple of tries to get an accurate measurement including his head! 🙂
